13 Dec AMI Releases 2018 Jukebox Chart Toppers
AMI Entertainment Network is excited to release its annual chart of top jukebox artists, songs, and music videos for 2018. The AMI network offers millions of hit songs to patrons at tens of thousands of jukebox venues across the U.S. and Canada. The most played songs and videos at AMI venues represent a broad cross-section of what’s popular among today’s bar and restaurant patrons.
Every genre was well-represented in the list of Top 10 New Songs. Drake led the category with 3 spots in the top 20. Cardi B, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Migos, and Post Malone each checked in with 2 songs in the top 20. Bad Wolves, Camila Cabello, Daddy Yankee, Justin Timberlake, Jason Aldean, and Tyga rounded out the category.
AMI Music Video Jukeboxes continue to see increases in coin-drop as patrons love to see their favorite music videos played. The 2018 most played new music videos on AMI Jukeboxes were “I Like It” by Cardi B, Bad Bunny & J Balvin; “Doo’d Up” by Ella Mai; “X” by Nicky Jam & J Balvin; and Ric Flair Drip” by 21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin.
Rock was once again the most popular genre at 38% of jukebox plays. Lynyrd Skynyrd took the top spot for most-played rock artist this year, followed by AC/DC and the Eagles. Country came in at 18% and country artists dominated most played songs, taking 10 of the top 20 spots. Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” took the top spot for an impressive second straight year.
