AMI Entertainment Network announced a new music contest to win an autographed guitar from blues and rock artist Gary Clark Jr. The contest is in recognition of his new album, This Land. The contest is open now and ends March 6, 2019. Music fans can enter the contest using the AMI Music app, available on iOS and Android. Contest entry is also available on any participating AMI jukebox.

Gary Clark Jr. fuses blues, rock, and soul music, with elements of hip hop, for an entrancing sound that feels totally new and at the same time classic. This Land is his third major-label studio album and fifth overall. His first major-label studio album, Blak and Blu, was released in 2012, after signing with Warner Bros. He followed that up with The Story of Sunny Boy Slim in 2015. He has also collaborated on albums with major artists, such as Alicia Keys and The Foo Fighters.

Clark Jr. started off playing small clubs in and around Austin. He then began playing at the Austin music club Antone’s, where Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan played. He began playing with musical icons, including Jimmie Vaughan, there. This helped him shape his unique sound and develop relationships with big names in the industry. In 2011, Rolling Stone magazine declared Clark Jr. the “Best Young Gun” in the April “Best of Rock” issue. This was around the same time he signed with Warner Bros. He’s won numerous awards, including a Grammy for “Best Traditional R&B Performance” in 2014.

Clark is especially well-known for prolific and electrifying live performances. He’s shared the stage with legends such as The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and B.B. King, just to name a few. His epic live performances at major festivals and concerts are featured in the live albums Gary Clark Jr. Live (2014) and Gary Clark Jr Live/North America (2017).
