AMI Closes out the Year With a New Giveaway from Crosses

-Prize is an Autographed MIDI Keyboard

AMI’s last giveaway of 2023 offers fans the chance to win a signed MIDI keyboard from Chino Moreno’s Deftones side project, Crosses. This contest is open December 8, 2023, through December 20, 2023. Entries can be submitted on the AMI Music app available on iOS and Android, or on any participating AMI Jukebox.

Founded by music industry veterans Chino Moreno and Shaun Lopez, Crosses (often stylized as †††), is known for their unique blend of electronic and alternative rock. Their songs are characterized by haunting melodies, ethereal vocals, and an atmospheric ambiance. Moreno, who is best known as the lead vocalist of the critically acclaimed alt-metal band, Deftones, teamed up with Lopez—a musician and producer, regarded for his involvement with the post-hardcore band, Far—back in 2011, in a move that marked a significant departure from their respective previous endeavors.

Following a handful of EP releases, Crosses’ self-titled debut studio album was released in 2014 and garnered serious attention for its captivating soundscapes, combining elements of trip-hop, synth-pop, and rock. Nearly a decade later, they released their second studio effort (first with a major label), Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete. The album was recorded over a four-year period and the track “Girls Float † Boys Cry” features guest vocals from The Cure’s Robert Smith. “It’s one of those things where it sounds like a cliche, but if you would have told me this when I was 15 years old, I wouldn’t have believed you,” said Moreno in an interview with Stereogum. “So it’s definitely come full circle from me being a kid and being inspired by [Smith] and The Cure in general, for my whole life and for my whole musical life, really.”

Crosses will be heading out on their “Familiar World Tour” starting in February 2024, and AMI is proud to offer fans a chance to win a signed MIDI keyboard. For a limited time, a Crosses playlist will be available on AMI jukeboxes and the AMI Music app. All are encouraged to check the playlist and US residents may enter the contest using the AMI Music app or by visiting a nearby AMI jukebox venue.
