28 Nov AMI Releases Their 2022 End-of-Year Music Charts
AMI Entertainment Network is happy to resume the release of their annual year-end chart of top-performing artists, songs, and music videos. AMI’s network offers millions of music selections in tens of thousands of jukebox venues across the U.S. and Canada.
After 2+ years of pandemic delays, stay-at-home orders, and ever-changing outdoor dining rules, it appears that the bar and restaurant, as well as the music industry, are getting back on track and looking forward to a successful future. With all their song and video selections, the patrons have spoken. Here are a few highlights from this year’s report:
- Lizzo took top honors in the Pop category with Top New Song/Top New Music Video (“About Damn Time”) and Top New Album (Special).
- Bad Bunny was first on both the Latin genre’s Top New Song (“Tití Me Preguntó”) and Top New Album (Un Verano Sin Ti).
- Country artists old and new reigned supreme in 6 out of 10 spots in both the Top Played Songs and Top Played Artists across all genres. Repeat favorites like Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, and Eric Church have songs on both lists.
- The Top New Rap/Hip Song “Broadway Girls” was a crossover hit from rapper Lil Durk featuring country music’s Morgan Wallen singing a trap beat.
