A Local Manufacturer has a full time opening in our Technical Service Department.
This position requires extensive telephone work in providing tier one support for all hardware, software and telecommunications issues with our customers.
Responsibilities include electrical and mechanical support for our manufactured music related hardware, and technical support for various internet connection protocols.
Responsible for:
- Electrical/mechanical technical support of our extensive product line.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively within our company and with our customers.
- Isolating problems and discussing solutions with people with a wide range of abilities.
- Resolve issues to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
- Maintain service records.
- Maintain a nurturing long term relationship with our customers.
- Following all policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support established policies to reflect strong support of corporate goals and vision.
- Regularly provide guidance and training to less experienced technicians.
Requirements:
- Has an associate degree (or equivalent) in electronics or telecommunications.
- Has the ability to diagnose/troubleshoot problems with software and hardware.
- Is at ease with technology, and is familiar with the use of computers.
- Understands basic internet connectivity.
- Strong follow-through skills and attention to details.
- Ability to learn new products.
- Will demonstrate customer service skills, with empathy and urgency.
We are not looking for an engineer, but the candidate will work with engineers to help fine tune product support.
No travel is required.
