Win an autographed guitar from Disturbed to celebrate their new album Evolution
AMI Entertainment Network announced a new contest giveaway to win an autographed guitar from Disturbed. The contest celebrates the release of Disturbed’s seventh studio album, Evolution. The contest begins on October 19th, the same day as the album release. Music fans can enter the contest using the AMI Music app, available on iOS and Android, or at any AMI jukebox.
Evolution is their seventh album overall, but only the second album since their hiatus in 2011. It also marks the return of bass guitarist John Moyer who did not contribute to their 2015 album Immortalized. Disturbed produced 5 studio albums between 2000 and their 2011 hiatus with four consecutive albums debuting at number one, joining Metallica and Dave Matthews Band as the only other groups to achieve this feat.
Evolution is inspired by the classic rock influences of the band mates’ younger years. It is also intended as a tribute album to late heavy metal musicians, such as Vinnie Paul of Pantera and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. Disturbed toured with both bands and were friends with Bennington and Paul. Disturbed’s frontman, David Draiman, stated that Evolution is their “Black Alum” (the common name for Metallica’s self-titled fifth studio album).
Fans of Disturbed have been eagerly awaiting the new album. Disturbed announced they were working on a new album at the beginning of the year and finished recording in June. Two months ago they announced the album title Evolution and released the first single off the album, “Are You Ready.” One month later, they released the second single, “A Reason to Fight.”
