AMI announced a contest to celebrate Luke Combs and the release of his new album What You See Is What You Get. One lucky grand prize winner will score two tickets to see him on tour. Three runners-up will take home a vinyl copy of the highly anticipated new album. The contest is open now through November 20, 2019. Music fans can enter the contest using the AMI Music app, available on iOS and Android. Contest entry is also available on any participating AMI jukebox.
In just a few years, Luke Combs has skyrocketed to one of the biggest names in country music. His first six commercially released singles have all gone #1 on Billboard’s U.S. Country Airplay chart. He’s already sold several million records and has won numerous awards. Combs is also known for selling out arenas and delivering amazing live performances. He has one of the best singing voices in country music. Combined with his clever, catchy songwriting and down-to-earth persona, he’s become an unstoppable force in the genre.
Luke Combs grew up in Asheville, NC. While attending Appalachian State University, he played his first country music show at Parthenon Café. Following the performance, he left college and moved to Nashville to pursue his career. Combs released three EPs between 2014-2015 before signing to Sony Music Nashville. He released his debut single, “Hurricane” in 2017. It served as the first single from his debut studio album, This One’s for You, released in June 2017.
The album was a major success. Following “Hurricane,” four more album singles were released, including “Beautiful Crazy.” This fan favorite and several other music videos are available in the AMI Music Video Library. This One’s for You reached #1 on the US Top Country Albums chart and is certified 2x platinum.
Along with the album’s commercial success, it earned multiple awards and nominations. In 2017, Combs won the Country Music Association Award for “New Artist of the Year” The following year, he won iHeart Radio Music Awards’ “New Country Artist of the Year.” He cleaned up at the 2019 Billboard Awards, winning “Top Country Artist,” “Top Country Male Artist,” and “Top Country Album.” Luke Combs’ massive success and popularity created a lot of hype and anticipation for his second studio album.
Combs released the single “Beer Never Broke My Heart” ahead of his new album in May 2019. It continued his streak, going #1 on the U.S. Country Airplay Chart. The album, What You See is What You Get, was released November 8, 2019. Both albums are available on the AMI Digital Network. Luke Combs is one of the most popular artists on AMI jukeboxes.
